Professional Rights and Responsibilities Committee (PR&R) aka Grievance Committee:
Maintain membership advocacy in the grievance procedure
Consists of five (5) members elected by the membership-at-large from a list of qualified candidates presented by the Nominating Committee
Qualification for nomination: at least five (5) year of teaching experience, including no less than two (2) years of experience in the Winton Woods City School District
Tenure of office shall be two (2) years. No member may serve more than three (3) successive terms of two (2) years each. In even numbered years two (2) members shall be elected, and in odd numbered years three (3) members shall be elected. Vacancies during a term shall be filled by appointment of the Co-Presidents with the approval of the Executive Council after the membership is notified
A chairperson shall be selected by vote of the members of the committee
Grievance Process:
The contract provides the detailed process of filing a grievance.
The time frame for filling a grievance is only 20 days after the event has occurred, so it is important that you act quickly.
